The good news? You won’t be shoveling snow this weekend.

But unless you’re a frog, there’s not a lot to like about the National Weather Service forecast for our area:

Today: Periods of rain, mainly after 9am. High near 45. East wind between 13 and 17 mph. Chance of precipitation is 100%. New rainfall amounts between a quarter and half of an inch possible.

Tonight: Periods of rain. Low around 43. Windy, with a east wind 17 to 20 mph increasing to between 28 and 31 mph. Winds could gust as high as 43 mph. Chance of precipitation is 100%. New rainfall amounts between a quarter and half of an inch possible.

Saturday: Periods of rain. The rain could be heavy at times. High near 46. Windy, with a east wind between 29 and 36 mph, with gusts as high as 47 mph. Chance of precipitation is 100%. New rainfall amounts between 1 and 2 inches possible.

Saturday Night: Periods of rain. The rain could be heavy at times. Low around 43. Windy, with a east wind 26 to 29 mph decreasing to between 16 and 19 mph. Winds could gust as high as 39 mph. Chance of precipitation is 100%. New rainfall amounts between three quarters and one inch possible.

Sunday: Showers likely. Cloudy, with a high near 48. Northeast wind between 15 and 17 mph. Chance of precipitation is 70%. New rainfall amounts of less than a tenth of an inch possible.

Sunday Night: A chance of showers. Cloudy, with a low around 39. Chance of precipitation is 50%. New rainfall amounts of less than a tenth of an inch possible.

Monday: A chance of showers. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 52. Chance of precipitation is 40%.
