Rumson police were on the scene of a reported bomb threat Thursday morning.
Police have shut down East River Road between Bruce Place and Black Point Road, with their attention on 97 East River.
No details of the threat have yet been made available.
The red brick building is owned by Thomas and Christine Giamio, according to property records.
Other records indicate that Thomas V. Giamio has a personal-injury law practice there, though no sign is visible from the exterior.
[UPDATE: 11:30 a.m.] After the scene was checked out by a bomb-sniffing dog from the Monmouth County Sheriff’s office, the scene has been cleared.
Referring to the initial police call, which said a bomb threat had been left on the business’s answering machine, Tobias told redbankgreen he might have more information in an hour or so.]
