A raid on a Red Bank house last week resulted in the arrests of four people, including a borough man and his father, on drug charges, police said Monday.
Acting on a warrant obtained as part of a monthlong investigation into suspected narcotics sales, police arrested 35-year-old Milo Rainey Jr. on charges of possessing, with intent to distribute, cocaine, crack and marijuana, Chief Darren McConnell tells redbankgreen.
The raid, on Bank Street house at 4 p.m, last Tuesday, also resulted in the arrests of Rainey’s 66-year-old father; the elder man’s partner, 50-year-old Marika Laing; and the younger man’s girlfriend, India Coleman, 35, of Manalapan, said McConnell. The elder man and Laing are borough residents, he said.
All faced the same charges and were released on summonses except the younger Rainey. He was ordered held at the Monmouth County Correctional Institution in Freehold on bail of $248,500, with full payment required. He remained in custody Monday.
The Monmouth County Prosecutor’s Office Narcotics Task Force and the Sheriff’s Department’s K9 Unit assisted in the raid, McConnell said.
