Memorial Day Commemoration, Monday, 11 a.m., Veterans’ Monument, 51 Monmouth Street, corner of Drummond Place. The featured speaker is U.S. Navy Lieutenant Sean Geary, Command Judge Advocate for Naval Weapons Station Earle and Naval Support Activity Lakehurst.
The event follows a 10 a.m. ceremony hosted by the volunteer fire and first aid squads at borough hall, 90 Monmouth Street.

Fair HavenÂ’’s Memorial Day Parade will take place on Monday at 9 a.m., beginning at Knollwood School, up Hance Road to River Road, and ending at Memorial Park, River Road.
A ceremony featuring guest speakers and musical selections is to follow.
[UPDATE: The parade has been canceled, and the Memorial Day observances will now take place at the Knollwood School’s all-purpose room at 9 a.m.]
Parade line-up is scheduled for 8 a.m. at Parker Avenue and Willow Drive, with parade kick-of following at 8:30. and services at Memorial Park at 9.
American Legion Post 338, in cooperation with the township, hosts its annual parade, beginning 10 a.m. at the Bayshore Middle School on Leonardville Road and ending at the post home on Route 36 at about 11:30.

Annual Memorial Day observance at the police station, 1099 Ocean Avenue, at 11 a.m.
The Shore Regional Marching Band and organist George Murphy are scheduled to perform the National Anthem and other patriotic songs. There will be a traditional wreath ceremony and flag-lowering in honor of Sea Bright residents who have sacrificed their lives in military action.
Following the program light refreshments will be served to all who attend.
All interested are invited to gather at the site of the former Sea Bright Police Station, 1099 Ocean Avenue at 11 a.m. For more information, contact Kathy Morris at 732-842-0099 Ext. 33.
The borough holds its annual Memorial Day observation at 10 a.m. at Patriot Isle, at Sycamore Avenue and Route 35, followed by refreshments at the Shrewsbury Hose Company #1. All are welcome.
In the event of rain, the ceremony will be the Shrewsbury Hose Company on Route 35.
