RED BANK: ‘LOST ANGELS’ AT THE VOGEL
‘Lost Angels,’ a one-act play written and directed by Ralph Colombino, gets two stagings in one night at the Vogel.
During a lockdown, 11 high school students are stuck in a classroom without a teacher and only texts and the PA system to let them know what is happening in the rest of the school. Amid the confusion they confront bullying, violence, racism, sexism, drug/alcohol abuse, depression and suicide.
‘Lost Angels’ is performed by student actors from the Actors Playground School of Theatre in Freehold, where Colombino is the artistic director. The production is a joint project between Playground and the Count Basie Center for the Arts.
