call-in-the-authoritiesDecember 1– Michael Gavan, 27, of Shrewsbury, NJ, was arrested following a field interview on Branch Ave. for an active Contempt of Court warrant out of the Red Bank Municipal Court. P.O. Eric Van Schaack made the arrest.

December 1– Maria Torres, 31, of Long Branch, NJ, was arrested following a motor vehicle stop on Silverside Ave. for Driving While Intoxicated. P.O. Eric Van Schaack made the arrest.

December 1– A resident from Rumson Rd. reported a Burglary/Theft after discovering that an unknown subject(s) entered an unsecured, detached garage and removed a gas powered backpack blower. Sgt. Martin Scherzinger and Det. Greg Oliva investigated.

December 5– Reinaldo Gely, 31, of Newark, NJ, was arrested following a motor vehicle stop on Oceanport Ave. for an active Contempt of Court warrant out of the Essex County SheriffÂ’s Department and Possession of a Controlled Dangerous Substance. P.O. Joseph Glynn, Jr. made the arrest.

December 5– A Rumson resident reported a Theft after shopping at the A&P Supermarket on Prospect Ave. The resident forgot her pocketbook when she left the store and when she returned to get it, the cash had been stolen out of it. P.O. Joseph Glynn, Jr. investigated.

December 8– Robert Maybaum, 70, of Little Silver, NJ, was arrested following a motor vehicle stop on Seven Bridges Rd. for Driving While Intoxicated. P.O. Eric Van Schaack made the arrest.

December 11– Several students at Red Bank Regional High School reported Theft when their cell phones were stolen throughout the school days. P.O. Robert Chenoweth investigated.

December 12– Lazavia Burrus, 20, of Neptune, NJ, was arrested following an incident at Red Bank Regional High School for active Contempt of Court warrants out of the East Brunswick, Jersey City and Neptune Township Municipal Courts. P.O. Robert Chenoweth made the arrest.

December 13– Ernesto Guzzo, 35, of Staten Island, NY, was arrested following a disabled motorist call on Rumson Rd. for active Contempt of Court warrants out of the Perth Amboy, Highlands and Atlantic highlands Municipal Courts. P.O. Amanda Arnold made the arrest.

December 14– Ryan Hartney, 23, of Keansburg, NJ, was arrested following a motor vehicle stop on Spring St. for active Contempt of Court warrants out of the Eatontown and Red Bank Municipal Courts. P.O. Andrew Smith made the arrest.

December 16– Nestor Espana-Espana, 40, of Long Branch, NJ, was arrested following a motor vehicle stop for Hindering Apprehension, Obstruction and an active Contempt of Court warrant out of the Long Branch Municipal Court. P.O. Eric Van Schaack made the arrest.

December 17– A resident from Heritage Ct. reported Fraud after giving personal information in response to an email he believed was from a financial institution. P.O. Frank Salerno investigated.

December 20- Ruben Leiva, 30, of West Long Branch, NJ, was arrested following a motor vehicle stop on Harding Rd. for Obstruction after giving a false name to police. Sgt. Paul Halpin made the arrest.

December 21– An employee from a business on White Rd. reported Harassment after receiving unwelcome gifts and forms of communication from a known acquaintance. P.O. Amanda Arnold investigated.

December 21– An employee from a business on Sycamore Ave. reported Theft by Deception when a known subject was making charges on an ex-employers business account. The subject fled the scene prior to police arrival. Sgt. Kevin Halpin, P.O. Amanda Arnold and Det. Greg Oliva investigated.

December 22– Brendan Piha, 21, of Little Silver, NJ, was arrested following a suspicious vehicle incident on Rustic Ter. for Possession of Marijuana Under 50 Grams. P.O. Andrew Smith made the arrest.

December 22– Daniel Fisher, 52, of West Long Branch, NJ, was arrested following a motor vehicle stop on Rumson Rd. for Driving While Intoxicated. P.O. Andrew Smith made the arrest.

December 29– Robert Tompkins, 23, of West Long Branch, NJ, was arrested following a motor vehicle stop on Oceanport Ave. for Driving While Intoxicated. P.O. Eric Van Schaack made the arrest.

December 31– A male juvenile, 16, of Eatontown, NJ, was arrested following a motor vehicle stop on Willow Dr. for Possession of Marijuana Under 50 Grams. P.O. Joseph Glynn, Jr. made the arrest.
