The singing, stepping, fiddle-sawing touring sensation that is CELTIC WOMAN takes it to the Basie stage, for a TWO night stand this Thursday and Friday.
Alright, so it’s not St. Patrick’s Day — it’s not even anywhere near that growing Jersey Shore tradition known as Halfway to St. Pat’s Day. But coming up on 80 days from this past March 17, we’re willing to call it Halfway to Halfway, and over at the Count Basie Theatre, they’re willing to go all-in on an attraction that commandeers the Monmouth Street landmark for TWO consecutive nights of traditional Irish anthems, pop standards and original music celebrating the heritage of the Emerald Isle. The Erin-Go-Brainchild of Emmy nominated composer and Riverdance musical director David Downes, Celtic Woman marries trad folklore with a bit o’ the Vegas blarney, for a big touring show fronted by a fivesome of colleens (currently comprised of Lisa, Lynn, Susan, Máiréad, and, uh, other Máiréad).
The women of Celtic Women carry their Emerald Tour production to the most legendary stage in County Monmouth this Thursday and Friday, June 5 and 6. Tickets for either of the 8 pm shows ($48 – $131) can be reserved right here.
