Should Red Bank establish a place for dogs to play? And if so, where?
And what should become of the borough’s red-clay tennis courts in Marine Park?
Those are among the questions on the table at a meeting scheduled for next week.
Another meeting, scheduled for later this week, concerns crime and community relations.

The first public meeting of the Parks & Rec Committee in 2015 is coming up – Monday, February 23, at 7 PM in first floor Council chambers (in the municipal building). Hot on the agenda – where should we put a dog park?? ALSO: What to do with the tennis courts, unusable since Sandy? (Hint: These questions might be linked… but not necessarily, so PLEASE come share your ideas!)
From police Chief Darren McConnell:
The Red Bank Police Department will be holding a Community Meeting at Saint Anthony’s Parish Center on Herbert Street on Saturday, February 21, 2015 at 7:45 pm. The meeting will be conducted primarily in Spanish as a way to improve communications between the Police Department and the Latino Community. Sgt. Juan Sardo will be the primary speaker. The meeting was arranged with assistance from Saint Anthony’s Church.
